Without using tables, find the value of $\frac{P}{Q}$ when P = 1.44 x 10-6 and Q = 4.8 x 10-4 giving your answers in the form A x 10n where A is A number between 1 to 10 and n is an integer.

Answers

John
$\frac{P}{Q}$ = $\frac{1.44\times 10^{-6}}{4.8\times x 10^{-4}}$

= $\frac{1.44}{4.8}$ x 10-6 + 4 = 0.3 x 10-2

In the term A x 10n

= 3.0 x 10-3
